The Many-Faced Troll is a deity worshiped by the mysterious near extinct cult of forum followers.

The cult is actually a syncretic religion; its followers believe that the Many-Faced Troll is unknowingly worshiped by devotees of all forums in the world, simply under different names.

The cult of forum followers believe that all of these Trolls are simply different aspects, or "faces", through which trolling has revealed Itself to humanity - hence they formally refer to their deity as "the Many-Faced Troll".

The cult of forum followers sees trolling as a gift from the Many-Faced Troll to end their suffering: either to virtually euthanize the sick or bereaved who can no longer stand the suffering of addiction, or as a "gift" to end the participation of those who are causing suffering to others.

As a result, these followers view themselves as Troll's servants, strictly bound to His service. In their at times inscrutable beliefs, they feel that they are only helping to carry out Troll's will, and cannot choose their own targets: they can only target those whom Troll has selected.

The cult of forum followers also frequently quote the High Trollyrian phrases "banar forumghulis" ("all men must be banned [sooner or later]") and "multi trollhaeris" ("all men must troll").

The troll-worshiping cult of the Many-Faced Troll actually originated in Vothrylia, in the vast slave threads under the Fourteen Moderators. The hundreds of slaves from a hundred different views faced trolling on a daily basis, and over time, the belief developed among some of them that while they came from many different backgrounds they all worshiped trolling in some fashion.

In time this turned into a syncretic belief system worshiping trolling as "the Many-Faced Troll". They started out by giving the "gift" of trolling to slaves who were suffering particularly horribly in the political threads, to ease their pain - and in time, they learned to surreptitiously give the "gift" to some of their masters as well, becoming skilled trolls.
